Correction to the Mailing List Instructions

The instructions for subscribing to the mailing list had an error: the list name was missing. The correct information is:
Second, a mailing list has been created where subscribers can talk about the application of JPEG 2000 in archives, libraries, and related fields. One can subscribe through through the web (http://listserv.uconn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=j2karclib-l) or send an e-mail to listserv@listserv.uconn.edu with "subscribe j2kArcLib-L [your name]" as the first line of the message. Archives to the list will be available in GMANE.ORG shortly.

j2kArcLib.info returns to the net

After nearly a year-long hiatus, the j2kArcLib.info site is back online. The site is now hosted by OhioLINK. Gratitude goes to the University of Connecticut for hosting the website in the early years. The mailing list, j2karclib-l@listserv.uconn.edu, continues to be hosted by the University of Connecticut.

Comment Spam Flushed

j2kArcLib.info has been hit with comment spam for online gambling, medicines, and (perhaps vaguely related to the topic at hand) free poronography. Amid the influx was two messages that should have been dealt with more promptly -- Elizabeth Aldrich's offer for the Dance Heritage Coalition's digital video preservation report and Mark Jordan's cross-promotion on his digitizationblog page. Apologies for the delay in sending those through.
